Antique Cafe

Antique Cafe has opened up in Ali Trade Centre a.k.a ATC Mall on MM Alam road. The name of this place gives you an idea of the place being royal and vintage. We visited to see what the hype is all about and read what happened further.

The interior is different than another places in Lahore. They have two areas, one is aquarium area and other is a simple, black and red themed sitting (preferably for couples, maybe?). The aquarium area has a transparent floor with water under the floor. The walls are decorated with artificial leaves all over making a nice and different ambiance. From crockery to menu cards, everything was designed to give the place a royal touch.

The menu was huge! Chicken,beef, sea food, fast food, starters and drinks everything had variety. We ordered their Chef Special Pizza, Nachos and Chow-Men.They served us fish-crackers as complimentary starters.

Not every place would serve you real nachos like they did.Full marks for that! However the dish was extremely dry and could’ve used a good sauce to complement Doritos. This starter contained jalapenos and grilled chicken and some veggies. One serving of these nachos cost you 525 Rs.

The pizza was recommended by their staff and the ‘Special’ in its name made us order it. The crust was hard, pizza tasted mild but extremely heavy on stomach.  There was nothing special in it except additional corns,olives and mushrooms. This was a pizza full in quantity but lacked in taste. The quantity was good for a price of 795, the serving was good for 3-4 people. We wouldn’t recommend you this one.

The chowmen was the best thing we tried here,, spicy well cooked and tasteful too. Nothing extraordinary,oily or desi. This chowmen will cost you 695 Rs.

 The service was good at this place. They had buttons installed on every table to call the serving staff, Order was served on time as well.

Antique Cafe needs to be tried for their unique interior of aquarium area, the food is very average, the menu was huge but they lacked taste in most of the items. For a per person cost of 1000-1400 Rs. this place is only offering different interior and nothing else.
