Cafe latch opened a few months back and has been making waves since then.All the high profile celebrities from Fawad Khan, Shaan, Ali xeeshan to Neha Manika have visited the place.Located on main boulevard near the Rice Bowl which we recently reviewed, this place offers both outdoor and indoor sittings.Just like all the eateries around, the area is not big enough to deal with a lot of customers and the interior is not something to root for.
Coming to the menu, it did not cover a lot of varieties in main course; they offer brunch, few pasta dishes, pizza, sandwiches and few seafood items.We ordered Chicken Ala Kiev, BBQ Chicken pizza, Caesar Salad, Malt shake,Chocolate Malt Bread and Butter Pudding.
Caesar Salad
This salad was scrumptious with lettuce and tender chicken in it. It was light and plenty in amount for a single serving.This item will cost you around PKR 415
Malt shake
A slightly chilled, chocolate Milo flavored drink which costs PKR 300.
Chicken Ala Kiev
Ignore the not-so-explanatory name, this was crispy and crunchy chicken with butter filling. This item was a bit bland but perfect for somebody who loves baked chicken with butter.This item costs around PKR 550.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
Unlike other places, the pizza serving style was different.The pizza wasn’t round, it was a rectangle.It had a thin crust which wasn’t soft enough and the sauces and spices were too mild making it almost tasteless. This pizza was enough two persons with a cost of PKR 650.
Chocolate Malt Bread and Butter Pudding
We must say that this item looks irresistible and tempting, only if you are a chocolate lover. This was a small serving of chocolate-flavored pudding with mixed-in brownie bites, maltersers topping and a scoop of ice-cream on the side. It was not too sweet and one of the best items we had at Cafe Latch. This item costs around PKR 550.
The Final Verdict
Cafe Latch is a bit expensive but offers different kinds of items for you to try. The place is noisy and the service needs improvement.Nevertheless,we say you should go if you are okay with a budget of PKR 1200-1400/person.
